Privacy Policy
Introduction
KindSpark: Daily Good Deeds ("the App") is developed and published by ZanshinLab. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle information in connection with your use of the App. We are committed to protecting your privacy and being fully transparent about our data practices.
By using KindSpark, you agree to the practices described in this policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.
Data We Collect
KindSpark is designed to work with minimal data. The App does not require account registration, login, or any personal identification.
Data stored only on your device (local storage):
- Your kindness streak count and last completed date
- Total number of deeds completed
- Your journal entries (notes you write about completed deeds)
- Your list of saved or favorite acts
- App state (today's selected deed index, onboarding status)
None of this data is transmitted to any server. It exists only on your device and is never shared with ZanshinLab or any third party by the App itself.
Data Storage and Security
All user data generated within the App is stored exclusively on your device using local browser storage (localStorage / WebView storage). This means:
- No data is ever sent to ZanshinLab servers or any external server
- Your data is not backed up to any cloud service by the App
- Clearing the App's data or uninstalling it will permanently delete all locally stored information
- We have no ability to access or recover your data if it is lost
Third-Party Services
Google AdMob
KindSpark displays advertisements provided by Google AdMob. As a third-party advertising service, AdMob may collect and use data to serve relevant ads. This may include:
- Android Advertising ID (AAID)
- Device information (model, OS version, screen size)
- Approximate location (country or region, not precise GPS)
- App interaction data used for ad targeting and measurement
- IP address
This data collection by AdMob is governed by Google's Privacy Policy, available at policies.google.com/privacy and Google's Advertising policies at policies.google.com/technologies/ads.
You can opt out of personalized advertising at any time by going to your Android device Settings → Google → Ads → Delete advertising ID or Opt out of Ads Personalization.
Andromo Platform
KindSpark is built using the Andromo app building platform. Andromo may collect standard technical data such as crash reports and performance diagnostics as part of its build and runtime infrastructure. Advertising ID
This App uses the Android Advertising ID (AAID) provided by Google Play Services. The AAID is used exclusively for advertising purposes through Google AdMob. It is not used to identify you personally or to track you across apps outside of advertising contexts.
You can reset or delete your Advertising ID at any time in your Android device settings.
Children's Privacy
KindSpark is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. The App does not collect any personal data from users directly.
If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has used this App, please note that no personal information is collected or stored by us. All data remains on the device. If you have concerns, please contact us at the email below.
The App is rated for general audiences (Everyone) and contains content appropriate for all ages.
Your Rights and Choices
- Delete your data: Use the "Reset All Data" option in the App's Settings screen to permanently erase all locally stored information from your device.
- Opt out of personalized ads: Go to Android Settings → Google → Ads to manage your advertising preferences or delete your Advertising ID.
- Uninstall: Removing the App from your device will delete all locally stored data associated with the App.
- Contact us: You may contact us at any time with privacy questions or requests using the email address below.
Data Retention
Since all data is stored locally on your device and we do not collect or store any data on our servers, there is no data retention period applicable on our end. Your data persists on your device until you reset it via the App settings or uninstall the App.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in the App, applicable laws, or our practices. When we make changes, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page.
We encourage you to review this policy periodically. Continued use of the App after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
