Dayglow privacy policy
1. Introduction
Welcome to DayGlow: Life Event Countdown, developed by ZanshinLab. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle information when you use our Android application. We are committed to protecting your privacy and being transparent about our data practices.
By using DayGlow, you agree to the terms described in this policy.
2. Data Collected
DayGlow itself does not collect, transmit, or store any personal data on external servers. All event data you create within the app — including event names, dates, emojis, and color preferences — is stored exclusively on your device using the browser's localStorage mechanism.
We do not collect names, email addresses, location data, or any other personally identifiable information through the app itself.
However, our advertising partner (Google AdMob) may collect certain data as described in Section 4 below.
3. Data Storage
All user-created content (countdowns, event preferences, milestone history) is stored locally on your Android device using localStorage — a standard browser storage mechanism built into the WebView component. This data:
• Never leaves your device through our systems
• Is not backed up to any cloud service by us
• Can be cleared at any time by clearing the app's data in your device settings
• Is not accessible to ZanshinLab or any third party through our infrastructure
4. Third-Party Services
Google AdMob (Advertising)
DayGlow displays advertisements provided by Google AdMob. AdMob may collect and use data including but not limited to: device identifiers (Android Advertising ID), IP address, app usage data, and diagnostic information for the purpose of delivering personalized or non-personalized ads.
Google's use of advertising data is governed by Google's Privacy Policy, available at https://policies.google.com/privacy. You can opt out of personalized advertising through your device's Google settings under "Ads."
Andromo Platform
DayGlow is built using the Andromo app development platform. Andromo may collect limited technical and diagnostic data as part of the app wrapper infrastructure. Please refer to Andromo's privacy policy for details.
5. Children's Privacy
DayGlow is designed for a general audience and is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided personal information through this app, please contact us and we will take appropriate steps to address the situation.
Parents and guardians are encouraged to monitor their children's use of mobile applications.
6. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or for legal, operational, or regulatory reasons. When we make changes, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. We encourage you to review this policy periodically.
Continued use of the app after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised policy.
