Daily Savings Challenge is a savings tracker app that helps you build healthy financial habits through structured challenges such as the 52-Week Challenge, the 365-Day Penny Challenge, and custom savings goals. We are committed to protecting your privacy. The app is designed to work entirely on your device with no servers and no personal data collection of any kind.
2. Information We Collect
We do not collect any personal or financial information. The app does not require you to create an account, connect a bank account, provide an email address, or share any personal details.
The only data the app stores is your savings progress — challenge type, amounts saved, streak, and milestones — which is saved locally on your device only using the browser's localStorage. This data never leaves your device and is never transmitted to any server.
We never see, access, or store any financial data you enter into the app.
3. How We Use Your Data
Since we collect no personal data, there is nothing to use, process, or share. Your local savings data is used solely to display your progress and challenge status within the app on your own device.
4. Advertising (Google AdMob)
Daily Savings Challenge uses Google AdMob to display advertisements. This is how the app remains free for all users. AdMob may collect certain information to serve relevant ads. This includes:
- Device advertising ID (Android Advertising ID / GAID)
- IP address (used to determine approximate geographic region)
- Device type, model, and operating system version
- App interaction data for ad targeting and measurement
- Approximate location derived from IP address
This data is collected and processed by Google LLC, not by Zanshin Lab. Google's data practices are governed by the Google Privacy Policy.
You can opt out of personalized advertising at any time by visiting your device settings: Settings → Google → Ads → Delete Advertising ID (Android 12+) or Opt out of Ads Personalization (older Android versions).

5. Third-Party Services
Daily Savings Challenge uses the following third-party services:

We do not use any analytics services, crash reporting tools, social media SDKs, or any other third-party tracking tools beyond AdMob advertising.
6. Financial Data Disclaimer
Daily Savings Challenge is a tracking and habit-building tool only. The app does not:
- Connect to any bank account or financial institution
- Process, store, or transmit any real money or financial transactions
- Provide financial advice or investment recommendations
- Access your actual savings or banking data
All amounts entered in the app are for personal tracking purposes only and remain on your device.
7. App Permissions
Daily Savings Challenge may use the following permissions:

The app does not access your camera, microphone, contacts, location, files, SMS, phone calls, or any other sensitive device resources. No financial permissions are requested.
8. Children's Privacy
Daily Savings Challenge is a general-purpose savings tracker suitable for all ages. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. Since the app collects no personal data whatsoever, it is safe for use by children, though we recommend parental supervision for younger users when viewing advertisements.
9. Data Security
Since Daily Savings Challenge stores all data locally on your device and does not transmit any personal or financial information to external servers, the security of your data depends on your device's own security measures. We recommend keeping your device protected with a screen lock or biometric authentication.
10. Data Retention and Deletion
Your savings progress data is stored locally on your device indefinitely until you choose to delete it. You can remove all data at any time by:
- Using the "Reset All Data" button in the Settings tab of the app
- Uninstalling the app, which automatically removes all locally stored data
- Clearing the app's data in your Android device settings: Settings → Apps → Daily Savings Challenge → Storage → Clear Data
11. Your Rights (GDPR / CCPA)
Since we collect no personal data on our servers, there is no personal data to access, correct, export, or delete from our end. All your data is under your complete control on your own device.
For any concerns about how Google AdMob uses your advertising data, you can visit Google Ad Settings or submit a request to Google directly via the Google Privacy Policy page.
Users in the European Union (EU) and European Economic Area (EEA) benefit from additional protections under GDPR. AdMob's data collection complies with applicable GDPR requirements including consent management where required.
